Romans 8:28

27 Million, Will this number ever go away? I am not referring to the numerical value of 27,000,000. I mean the fact that there is a number representing slaves in the world. Romans 8:28 says "all things work together for good to them that love God and those who are called according to His purpose". I do not believe this verse assures everyday of your life will be good, but I do believe the "good" means having a place in Heaven to look forward to and a hope of a better life than that of humanity. I know of 27 million people in the world who need that hope. Some may already know of the "good", but who will give the hope to those slaves who do not know. Someday we will all bow down before God no matter what position we hold in this life, master or slave. If we are equal as humans we should have the courage to share the "good" with all people because God created all people. He wants us to find hope. Another verse I have had on mind is John 3:16, so often is this verse taken as an elementary concept or too cliche to mention, or unmentioned because everyone already knows it. Today represents the day Jesus was crucified. Crucified for all people that things may work together for good. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  Unfortunately sometimes we forget how important the foundational verses we learn as children are to our future and the future of others that need to know truth.
